But for now let's just enjoy wasting weekends and misbehaving! That's what one of my good friends said to me this weekend and I whole heartedly agree.
Not a great outfit picture, I know. I was in my usual rush to head out on Sat so this all I got. I liked the outfit though so wanted to share. Please ignore the angry face. I wasn’t in a huffy mood, just Danny likes to snap pictures of me when I least expect it and I have to hide my face as quickly as I can. We were also in the hottest, sweatiest club and my hair has went a little ‘big at the bottom, flat at the top!’ Not my favourite look.
Talking of growing up, I have to go to the House of Commons for an event with work to on Wednesday - scary!! I realised that with only a week left of the shopping ban I’m going to have to break it! Nothing in my wardrobe is appropriate to wear to the HoC (unless they like short shorts, lace and animal print?) So I need to go out and buy an appropriate dress – BORING!! I will keep you posted with what I find.
So because I knew I would be breaking the ban I went to Topshop!! OH OH!! I was good though and only bought the jewellery I’m wearing here. Still bad, I know, but I really wanted to wear this outfit and it needed some colour. I love all things turquoise right now, so completely fell in love with this necklace. I’m loving the fact that it’s warm enough to wear my American Apparel bloomers/shorts now and think the lace blouse compliments them well. Maybe a tad lace overkill but I needed a blouse/kimono that covered my bum (granny pants under lace bloomers need hiding) but couldn’t find one I loved while shopping so settled for what I already have. See, learning so much from the ban already!
Hope you all had a lovely weekend.
Great outfit, and I so know what you mean about turquoise look fab with black or white!!
ReplyDeleteCant wait to see what dress you buy for HOC xx
Please don't say we have to grow up - evvaaaahh!! Love the shorts and how exciting going to the HOC! XXX
ReplyDeleteLove all the turquoise jewellery it really stands out! Hope the HoC is interesting at least and you find something appropriate to wear :) xx
ReplyDeleteYou have a wise friend what is the weekend for if it isn't for having fun! Definitely not lace overkill, love the shorts, they are super cute and the turquoise jewellery really stands out against the black, I'm especially loving the cross. I hate it when people random take photos I always look a bit 'special' in them! x
