HoC and Friendly Fires

Blouse – Urban Outfitters

Sorry, by the looks of things, I could not manage a smile this morning or to keep my eyes open, for that matter. This is my outfit for the House of Commons. I spent my entire bus journey scrutinising my outfit and wishing I had gone for something a little more conservative, then thinking no, this is fine. Then thinking no, I look disgusting, my skirt is too short and four tattoos are visible!! Too late to change now. I was looking forward to buying something new to wear but after a quiet word, when I was told to dress ‘demurely’ my mood changed and nothing in the shops felt right! I came home with a plain, black, over the knee dress and had every intention of wearing it but this morning I just thought, sod it!! It’s not me! So, I’m wearing a skirt that was initially bought for a night out! I’ll be sure to fill you in on the comments I receive tomorrow. So far I’ve had “aren’t you going to the HoC today?”

Enough of the moaning, I’m sorry!! I just can’t seem to shake off a bit of the summer blues today and I have no idea why.

I went to see Friendly Fires, the other night. It was such an amazing gig! (Need to remember that I have an exciting life!!) This is what I wore. I seem to be living in these shoes right now, but every time I put them on I realise that short leg syndrome strikes again!

I can probably understand why I was told how to dress yesterday, seeing as I went to the gig in a rush and forgot to pack a change of clothes. I then overslept so rolled into work wearing the above. However, I ‘m sure one of Danny’s t-shirts would have gone down a lot worse!!
