From Nothing, Something Comes

When I find something I like, I want to wear it with everything and instantly plan 20 outfit ideas in my head. Unfortunately, I'm also one of those crazy people who will wear something once and then forget about it, usually with whatever the weather permits. I decided to do this post to remind myself of different ways to wear an item for different occasions. I bought this gorgeous skirt on ebay last summer and could not be happier with it. I think it's originally from M&S St Michael range!! Does anyone else remember their gran wearing that?? It's also quite large so I need to wear a belt, I could have it taken in, but then again I'm pretty lazy when it comes to things like that!!

I thought the first outfit would be quite nice for work, maybe in a month or so when it's not quite summer but getting there (Aprils warm right?) The second Outfit I thought would be good right now. I've seen a lot of people tucking jumpers into skirts and it's a look I love on other people so thought I'd give it a go.

I thought this look would be nice for the pub one summers evening. I also managed to sneak my House of Harlow necklace in and must remember that I own this so should wear it more!! I love these shoes, they are quite a recent purchase from Topshop and can't wait to wear them with everything in the summer.

Finally, I thought this would be the perfect outfit for any summer occasion really. It's a bit more formal than my normal summer attire (scabby shorts and crop top.) This waistcoat has to be one of my favorite items and has at least 2 inches breathing space in my otherwise stuffed full wardrobe. It's from Urban Outfitters and I got it almost three years ago, I think it will be great for this summer's trends too.

  8. I'm from Edinburgh and when I lived in London I lived in Hampstead for a year. When I was there I was doing fashion photography and now I'm just earning money at a hospital's medical emergency unit as a care assistant but what I really want to do is get a job as a creative/visual merchandising assistant in a fashion store and get some styling experience on the side.
If you have twitter you should add me - LouLouBrooke. What are you doing in London? Which part you staying in?
