I am actually the luckiest girl alive! I received my first birthday present last week (my birthday is 2 months away, so it's looking good for 2 months full of presents!) My boyfriend got me tickets to see my all time favourite singer, Donovan. The concert was at the royal Albert Hall and was just amazing. This is what I wore.

My mum was a bit of a hippy back in the day so I was brought up listening to singers like Donovan. I have the best memories of dancing around and laughing with my brother to Mellow Yellow, crying with my mum over the beautiful lyrics of Catch The Wind and long car journeys with my dad, spent listening to Colours. I rediscovered Donovan about four years ago and he is now a constant on my ipod playlists. It's fair to say when Danny told me we were going, I cried quite a bit...such a baby.

The concert was amazing. The crowd mostly consisted of older people in their 60s - 70s, who probably enjoyed the music the first time round back in the 60s. A few token hippies and older, smart looking gentlemen, sporting tie-die t-shirts. There were people dancing in the aisles and singing along while I sat there shedding a few tears.

To top it all off Danny then told me that we are going to see Bob Dylan in a few weeks. Two of my all time favourite singers!! I'm not sure what I have done to deserve or how on earth I even come close to matching such an amazing birthday present?!

P.S. I bloody love this kimono jacket!!

  8. That's fantastic news about the gigs! Such a wonderful birthday treat for you :) I really like the whole vibe your outfit is giving off, like kind of hippy/festival? Plus you have super long legs! Ahhh Bob Dylan is just a legend! His music is like listening to a poet, the lyrics really do mean something rather than a lot of sounds blasting together (which I dont mind but sometimes you just need something light on the ears!) The atmosphere is going to be immense I'm sure! take plenty of pictures and I'm fantastic thank you for asking. Hope you're great too! xxx
