What to Wear to a Wedding... Sienna!!

 All images from twenty8twelve

This summer I am going to my first wedding of a friend – SCARY!! But obviously lovely, all the same! What do you wear to a wedding, when gorgeous white dresses are everywhere? (NO!!! I won’t even consider that, don’t worry.) Navy would be my colour of choice but that’s the bridesmaids colour, so again - big fat no! I just can not picture an outfit that is ideal for that day to night transition and I’m guessing chunky heels are a big no too? Am I going to end up draped in a shall with some sling back midi heels and a flower in my hair?? (I may still opt for a flower, or a big hat! Are 70’s crochet floppy hats suitable for weddings?)

Anyway I have been putting a bit of money away for an outfit and have decided that Sienna is going to save my wedding woes. The twenty8twelve collection doesn’t instantly scream “wedding” but I think I could work with something. The first and forth dresses are my favourites, but those scallop shorts could also be a winner.

Is anyone else going to a wedding this summer and struggling to think of an outfit? Or are there any wedding pros out there who can give me some advise?

  2. Feel the first dress is classic wedding attire, the shorts are definitely cute I think you could work them into a wedding appropriate outfit. Everyone seems to be getting married or having babies at the moment so strange, I still feel about 16! x
