lipstick kisses

It hit me while reading numerous blogs that my addiction goes beyond clothes, I seem to be obsessed with lipstick too! I do have to point out however that I’m not being a little ‘flash the cash’!! Most of these Mac lipsticks have been free, due to their recycling empty bottles policy.

Although I do enjoy makeup  and beauty products I’m one of those people who can take it or leave it! I will regularly go to work or out shopping with no make up and it doesn’t phase me at all. So I am in no way about to become a ‘beauty blogger’ but I thought I would share some of my favourite lipsticks...don’t worry I will not be showing you my extensive collection of brown eye shadows next, back to clothes on Friday!

L-F; Freckletone, Shy Girl, Sandy D, Ravashing, Fanfare, Costa Chica, Watch Me Shimmer, Chatterbox, Vegas Volt, Morange, CB (something), Lady Bug and Ruby Woo.

Depending on my mood, hair colour or outfit choice I go through phases of loving a colour then hating it! When I was younger I loved pale lipstick! Then I liked orange/red tones, through to full on red and now I quite like a mid subtle pink with a peachy orange tone (which is proving difficult to find)!

Above is my most recent purchase Watch Me Shimmer (left), I actually love this shade, it’s a little bright for me but can be easily muted with a paler tone underneath! I thought I’d pair it against Chatterbox as this too is a really bright shade. Unfortunately I don’t wear that often but think it looks great on blondes!

Vegas Volt (left) and Morange (right) are two of my old favourites! As you can see Morange is quite well used!! It gives the perfect orange shade but is still quite red so easy to wear.

Obviously I have already mentioned WMS and Morange but I had to include them as they are amongst the few that I wear a lot! Ravishing is a slightly newer shade that I came across in the hunt for a subtle pinky peach shade, it’s actually perfect for me and I’d recommend it as a good starting point for anyone after that sort of shade. You can probably tell from the little amount left that Costa Chica is my lipstick saviour! Anyone looking for a bright summer pink that leans towards orange instead of red should really give this a try!

Do any of you use any of the colours I’ve mentioned? Or are there any hidden gems that I don’t know about yet? Also, if anyone knows of the perfect peachy orange shade PLEASE let me know!

  6. Wow I only have 3 Mac lipsticks but then I don't wear lippy very much anyway! I just get a bit scared that it'll end up on my teeth! I have Russian Red (apparently worn by Dita Von Teese), Up The Amp and most recently Speed Dial (subtle but gorgeous). Hope you're all good sweetie xx

  10. Lipstck really brights up my face on my ugly days. I does make great difference to my face! I know you are not beauty blog but do you know any good foundation that doesn't make your face look like shiny balloon. So far I loved Chanel one but I was trying to look for a cheaper yet still good. I was wondering about Mac foundation? Have you tried it?
