Jumped Ship

Dress, Boots & Jumper (old) - Topshop
Neckalce - Urban Outfitters
Bag - Frank & Doll

After the baby shower on Saturday me and my friends went to a house party. We had a few hours to kill so went home to get changed, although I would have happily worn the sailor look, as never want to get too dressed up for house parties.

While browsing through the hundreds of LFW street style snaps one girl stuck out for me, she was wearing a knee length bright pattern skirt with a big chunky jumper and I just fell in love with the look.

Seeing as I’ve given up on my shopping ban I went into town early on Saturday morning for a quick browse. I had a voucher for Topshop and I have to admit if it wasn’t for the voucher I would have left empty handed! There was just nothing that I wanted and that is a first for me! Is anyone else feeling the same about Topshop at the moment? Anyway, I did like this dress, but mainly because I thought I could re-create the LFW snap! I would never wear this dress without the jumper as it isn’t exactly the most flattering and just a bit too flimsy!

As mentioned, yesterday me and Danny ended up playing tourist and went for a long walk down from Covent Garden, to the Portrait Gallery, by Buckingham Palace and then finished up on the South bank! I got Danny to take some picture of my outfit and I’ll post them this week but brace yourself, there is a reason I chose to take outfit pictures in the comfort of my own room when no on is around! Awkward face!!!

Hope you al had lovely weekends!

  6. Ooh, I love this! I've always found that whenever I have a voucher or need to exchange an item somewhere, I can NEVER see anything I like haha... I've ended up selling the voucher on more than one occasion :). I need to act like a tourist in London again; I always feel silly with a huge map in my hand but ah well :) x

  7. Stunning, literally the perfect black jumper! I tried that dress on and found it hung a bit strange on the ol' boobies so I had to leave it behind :( it looks amazeballs on you though. xx

  11. When I saw this dress in my store I thought it would be hard to style but the see-through jumper is a brilliant choice Mo! Layering is my favourite way to style! Today I bought a silky bright pink maxi dress - but like your dress it's too flimsy to wear on it's own so I also bought a see-through beaded and sequinned cropped top to wear over it which looks way better than it sounds! I know what you mean about Toppers stock just now. Too many cropped tops and hot pants. Feels like right now it's mostly aimed at teenagers. Still, when you work there you do manage to find lots of things to buy! xx

    1. Oh that outfit sounds nice! Yeah exactly, I don't know who those clothes are targetted at as I'm not sure anyone wants to wear hotpants and crop tops all the time! xx

  17. This is one of my favourite outfits of yours ever! That jumper is just amazing and your do look v.LFW but not overdressed for a house party-perfect! Definetely agree about the emptiness of Topshop lately, i'm hoping its just the transition into S/S as nothing is standing out right now (something i'm thankful for as i have no money)! Sounds like you had a lovely touristy day and made the most of the gorgeous weather Xxx
