Paris

As mentioned (quite a few times) me and my boy went to Paris at the weekend. Although the trip felt really relaxed and from what I remember most of it was spent in cafes, bars and restaurants, we did manage to pack in A LOT of sightseeing and my wee legs are still in agony at the amount of walking we did.

Coat - H&M
Jumper, Jeans and Boots - Topshop
Vest - Yayer
Socks, Necklaces and Bag - UO
Hat - Knitted by my mum.

The Love Locks bridge... no we didn’t!!!

On Saturday we squeezed in the Champs Elysees,  Musee D’Orsay – which was incredible!! I love the impressionists so was breathtaking to see pictures I’ve studied in real life. (Not sure if I have ever mentioned this but I briefly studied art at Uni.) We walked along the Seine and by the Louvre, the weather had just turned really dull but it made it all the more beautiful. Then we had the most moving walk around Notre Dame. The weather was pretty dire so pretty dresses went out the window in favour of jumpers and hats.

 Oh hiiiii glittery socks!!!!

Our Hotel was a five minute walk from Montmartre, which was my favourite part of the city. The Sacré-Cœur Basilica was just breath taking, especially when all lit up at night. The artist market and all the small cobbled streets around it were everything I hoped Paris would be.  We did spend all lot of the weekend relaxing and found some gorgeous little restaurants to hide away in drinking far too much red wine and eating more cheese than I ever thought I could stomach! It was perfect.

Sunday was possibly my favourite day! We spent a few hours walking around the Père Lachaise Cemetery where we saw both Oscar Wilde and Jim Morrison’s graves. I have never been anywhere so eerie yet so beautiful.

Jacket, Jeans and Boots - Topshop
Dress - Goldie London
Necklace - Little Nells

Swear I didn’t purposely dress in all black!

This decorated tree is by Jim Morrison’s tomb stone.

After briefly visiting the Eiffel Tower and eating more bread and cheese we went to the Centre Pompidou, which I loved. I wouldn’t really say I am a massive fan of modern art but I was so inspired by most of the work.

The outside escalators gave the best views over the city.

Please excuse this horrid picture but I wanted to show off the gorgeous sleeves on this dress. It's from Goldie London and I have worn it to death recently.

 One of my favourite pieces.

We spent Monday morning back in Montmartre... sometimes you just have to go for warmth over style!

Yeah, I did take these beauties home with me...ear muffs are going to be essential for Christmas in Scotland!!

  1. Ah you look amazing, please may I steal your wardrobe? I want those Toppers boots! Also super jealous looks like you covered a lot! My boyfriend isn't keen on Paris (or French people in general) so I don't think I'll be having a romantic getaway with him any time soon. I went to the Pere Lachaise when I was about 2 (apparently) so really keen to go back! xx
