No Time for Fever

Vest - TopShop
Skirt - Vintage
Belt - Vintage
Shoes - Urban Outfitters

Last night I was inspired to get to grips with my wardrobe, sort through everything and fall back in love with the items I ignore. I would highly recommend giving it a go.

Yesterday I touched on my obsession with compulsive buying and I was pleased to read that I wasn’t the only one with these crazy tendencies. Annebeth not only left me a comment with some handy tips but then blogged about the issue herself. Her post pretty much summed up things I could not put into words and has some really straight talking points that I am going to use, to help me next month, when I go on a SHOPPING BAN!!! Yes, that’s right I’m not buying any clothes from the 15th of April till the 15th of May (my pay day bracket.) I am going to rediscover my wardrobe and I’m actually really looking forward to it. You can read her post here.

She also inspired me with the gorgeous skirt she was wearing in the post. Instead of thinking, I need to buy a skirt just like that, I remembered this pink one I already own! I love this skirt for so many different reasons and am ashamed to say that this is only the second time I have ever worn it, despite buying it almost a year ago. To me, this skirt is all about the way I feel in it. Granted it’s not to everyone’s taste but I feel like a different person in it. I just feel so happy! Crazy / weird, I know!! Does anyone else have an item that instantly changes their mood and lifts their spirits?

I must apologise for my hair in these pics but am on a ‘save the hair’ mission. That means as little heat styling as possible and a lot of conditioner. I’m thinking of getting some Kelp tablets too, has anyone tried them? Do they work? I’m rather sceptical.

I keep forgetting about my giveaway!! Idiot, I know. But have now set a reminder in my calendar and I will choose a winner at random on Monday 18th April. So if you fancy, you can enter here.

  3. I'm so inspired to just go out and find myself a maxi-midi skirt! I love how they instantly make the outfit feminine, you look very beautiful! It's amazing how much they elongate the figure too. The spending ban is a great idea, it'll put into perception how many clothes you have and I love the feeling of rewearing an item you haven't worn in years and feeling great in it!

  25. The skirt is really pretty, this is a very romantic pink. And I love the antagonist "rock" touch added by the black top. I think the long skirts always look "too much" on me, but this is a good idea (with the top) I might steal!
